Beautifying Peaches and Greens Smoothie

Updated: Feb 3, 2020

We loveeee our morning smoothie. Genuinely look forward to it everyday! Not only does it make us feel good, but we love trying every flavor combo imaginable. If you are going to regularly have smoothies (which, when done with the right balance of nutrients, we highly recommend to everyone as a way to up their health game), you have to mix it up!

Switching out fruits and veggies to whatever is in season is one way to do this. Another way is to play around with spices, adaptogens, or herbs like cinnamon, cacao powder, maca, parsley, etc. Lastly, get creative with different toppings. The options are endless from granola (we love Purely Elizabeth) to coconut flakes to gogi berries, you can't go wrong!

This smoothie is filled with beautifying and anti-aging fruits, veggies, and healthy fats. You'll be loading up on lots of anti-oxidants, vitamins, enzymes, and fatty acids to not only nourish your insides and increase energy levels, but also improve the look of your skin, hair, and nails. This smoothie is also great for combating bloat and inflammation, as these foods are anti-inflammatory and easy to digest!

Inredients:

~1 1/2 C romaine or leafy greens (or 2 hefty handfuls)

3-5 frozen peach slices

3-5 frozen coconut chunks (we find ours at Trader Joe's)

1/3 - 1/2 frozen banana

~1 C frozen butternut squash

1 scoop vanilla plant protein powder or vanilla collagen (Garden of Life or Bulletproof)

~1/4 C unsweetened almond milk

~1/4- 1/3 C coconut water

optional add-ins: CBD oil (Fab CBD), adaptogens (Sun Potion), cacao nibs, or maca powder

optional toppings: pomegranate sees, dairy-free yogurt (Kite Hill), coconut shreds, or granola

Instructions

1. Add all ingredients to a high quality blender, and blend until smooth.

2. If not the consistency you want, add a few ice cubes to make thicker or more water to make more liquidy.

3. Pour into a glass and add your toppings!
