Clean and Green Smoothie
There truly is no better way to start your day than with a super light and clean breakfast. If you’re looking to naturally cleanse your body, slim down, clear your skin, increase your energy, improve your digestion, or just incorporate more vegetables into your diet, having our Clean and Green smoothie on a regular basis will benefit you more than you can imagine.
It is seriously amazing what simply consuming the right foods can do for you, and this smoothie contains more greens, and subsequently more vitamins, enzymes, fiber, amino acids, and hydration than many people consume in an entire day.
Why do we need to overload on the nutrients that greens provide? Let’s take a sec to think about how our bodies utilize nutrients. Our first priority is survival. Your body needs to make sure that you have enough nutrients to supply your vital organs with what they need to function. Then our bodies can use nutrients for growth and maintenance; bones, joints, muscles. Only when we have excess nutrients do our bodies utilize them to grow soft hair, clear skin, and strong nails. And only then do we also feel a true difference in energy and vitality. I’m sure you have heard many times that eating healthier can increase energy levels, and that’s true, but it needs to be at a high enough volume and nutrient density.
The Clean and Green smoothie has all of that covered in one meal. We can promise you that the difference in energy you will feel after having a smoothie like this regularly is incredible (even as a coffee addict, you may find yourself not needing so much). Not to mention, you will see a noticeable difference in your energy levels and skin, and likely your hair and nails, too.
If you need more than a smoothie in the morning, that’s all right too. It is better to have your green smoothie and something else later in the morning if you are still hungry, than to not have it at all. The amount of nutrition is too great to miss out on! You are not going to find any supplemental protein or unusual superfoods in this one, but just simple, clean greens and low sugar fruit. The lemon is crucial to this smoothie, as it works to maintain the enzymes present in the fruits and veggies, increases alkalinity, and provides additional enzymes and hydration. You will get 15-20 grams of fiber (over half of what is recommended for the entire day) and 6-8 grams of protein (yes, just from plants), in addition to a vast amount of vitamins and minerals.
