Although we kinda want to boycott the Super Bowl (geaux Saints), we’re not *that* petty, so we’re coping by making some DELISH and healthy game day food. We whipped up some Asian slaw that we think you’ll love. While this recipe is perfect to bring to a Super Bowl party, it's great to make to have at home any day, too. Have it as a side with barbecue or grilled chicken, on top a salad or piece of salmon, or just all on its own. We also have a recipe for BBQ jackfruit tacos, that goes perfectly with this slaw!

Pesto is one of those things that just makes things taste better. Most pesto recipes are made up mostly of oil, and second to that basil and pine nuts. There's traditionally some Parmesan cheese in there, too. No wonder it's delicious, right?

And what is pesto typically paired with? Pasta. Yup. So, consuming pesto would likely entail lots of oil, some cheese, and some pasta. If we did that too often we might have a clogged artery or two and we'd certainly feel some belly bloat. 

We're not cool with swearing off any foods that we think are delicious, pesto included, and we want to have super delicious foods frequent...

I don't know about you, but we could literally dive into a bowl of this veggie-loaded lentil pasta. And did we hear pesto?  If there's pesto, we're in. This recipe is seriously one of the EASIEST we have on our blog, and it's so so good.

Our grandma is arguably the best cook we know. She's a Sicilian immigrant and has a life-long repertoire of authentic, AMAZING Italian recipes and secret sauces. Many of her recipes aren't written down and have only been passed down by spending time in the kitchen and learning first-hand. One of those, are her famous lemon twist cookies.

      Who doesn't like mac n cheese? Better yet, who doesn't like baked mac n cheese? It's a classic comfort food.
